for great sleep

do you remember those mornings when you have awaken completely rested, feeling young, healthy and wonderful? what if you could awaken in that state 95% of the mornings? follow these simple habits and start sleeping normal.

This type of sleep is the one we were designed for to enjoy!

  • Sleep on your left side. The Left Side of your brain is the more suitable for activities such as bathing, reading, writing, defecating, debating, eating, sleeping, removing anxiety, nervousness, yoga. When you sleep on your left side, your right nostril opens and the left side of your brain works. Yogis say that energy comes into the body through the left side and leaves the body through the right side, being this the case, sleeping on the left side reduces the amount of energy that comes in the body, decreasing the amount of dreams and activity inducing the body into a restful sleep.
  • Eat at least 4 hours before going to bed. Considering that food takes up to 7 hours to be digested (meats in particular), if you go to bed with your digestive system active, your body will be active as well and your sleep will be shallower, you will dream more and rest less.
  • Meditate around 2 hours before going to bed, this will calm your mind, decrease the amount of thoughts provoking a deep restful night.
  • Massage the sole of your feet with Ghee (Clarified Butter), for thousands of years the Sattvic (harmonious, enlightening) properties of Ghee have been experienced by different cultures and India. Ghee will bring harmony to your body and mind, will bring peace in your body, more groundedness.
